DAY 1 LIMA
Reception in the Lima airport and transfer to the Hotel.(No meals)

DAY 2 PUERTO MALDONADO
Transfer to the airport where we will take the flight to Puerto Maldonado (airfare not included).
Pick up at airport and transfer to WASAI Lodge in Puerto Maldonado, where you will be welcomed with a delicious Cocktail or tropical juice.
You will receive a detailed information about the tour and some tips for your jungle trip.
Transfer in bus or car to Km. 37 .
We will then start a 2 to 3 hours journey through the jungle by an all terrain vehicle.
While we enter to the thickness of the jungle by a narrow trail we will appreciate different types of forest with gigantic trees, you can also have the first
encounters with the fauna of the amazon forest. Arrival to the WASAI Tambopata Lodge and Research Center. Accommodation in your bunglow.
The different sounds of the forest will be with us on our first night in the amazon. Dinner and overnight at Lodge Tambopata.

DAY 3 MACAW CLAY LICK "COLLPA"
Wake up early (5 am) and travel up the Tambopata River for an hour and a half to the Bahuaja- Sonene National Park.
You will see a magical sunrise and it is a great opportunity to see animals such as capybaras, tapir , Jaguar, and deer in the surrounding virgin forest.
We will observe ( from an appropriate distance) one of the greatest spectacle of the rainforest: Hundreds of parrots, parakeets and macaws of varius
species, enjoying their diet of mineral salts on a river bank. We will have a hot drink and a snack whilst watching birds and go for a short walk to look for
animals such as monkeys. We will return to to the lodge to have a late breakfast, and rest.
After lunch , ethno botanical trekking. We will enter the verdant jungle on a special trail to observe wild life. We will then enter the
territory of peccaries, deer, and others, with the possibility to hear or see the tracks of them, or discovering
a troop of monkeys traveling through the forest in search of food. Time permitting, we will be able to enjoy a relaxing swim in the
cascade of the cat. After dinner search for caimans.
Overnight at Wasai Tambopata Lodge .

DAY 4 PUERTO MALDONADO - CUSCO
Breakfast and transportation the airport . New chance to enjoy the fantastic sunrise in the amazon rainforest , landscapes, and many birds.
Take the flight to Cusco (airfare not included) .
upon arrival Reception at the Cusco airport ; you will be taken to the Orquidea Real Hostal, in order to acclimatize of the altitude and rest..
Overnight at the Hotel. (B)

DAY 5 CUSCO CITY TOUR
In the afternoon: Cusco City Tour From 1:15 p.m. Aprox
This tour includes the Qoricancha (Temple of the Sun) and the Cathedral and some other famous places like the famous fortress of Sacsayhuaman, then to Q'enqo, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay.
You will also receive a tourist ticket valid to many other sites you can visit on your free time.
Overnight at the Hotel.

DAYS 6-7-8-9: Beginning the "Inca Trail" the most famous trekking in South America, following Bingham's footsteps.

Included: Bus service until Km. 82, entrance ticket to the Inca Trail, professional English and Spanish speaking guide during
all the trekking, tents, carriers, breakfast lunch and dinner(as explained below), complete Machu Picchu ruins tour, train ticket back to Cusco.

INCA TRAIL TO MACHUPICCHU (4 days - 3 nights)

DAY 6: Pick up at your hotel. We start our trek escorted by native "quechua"
porters going through semi-arid terrain along the Urubamba river with magnificent views of snow capped mount Veronica, later going through Llactapata, an ancient
Inca citadel that protected the entry to two valleys.

DAY 7: Today the first part of the trek takes us to the Inca Hamlet of Huayabamba, later going through
Warmiwañuska pass (4200 Mt), known as "dead woman's pass". (B,L,D)

DAY 8: Walking on a remarkably preserved Inca Trail passing ancient archaeological sites covered by dense jungle overgrowth, later visiting the
Phuyupatamarca (city above clouds) with spectacular view of snow covered Andean ranges, then Wyñaywayna, probably the most spectacular archaeological
complex during the trek. (B,L,D)

DAY 9: After an early breakfast we will Pass through the Inti Punku (Gate of the Sun), we arrive to Machu Picchu, the Lost City of the Incas, we'll take a guided tours
of the citadel, then in the afternoon train back to Cusco, overnight at the hotel . (B)

DAY 10 TRANSFER OUT
Breakfast and transfer to the airport where you will take the morning flight back to Lima (airfare not included) on time to get your international flight connection. (B)

IMPORTANT NOTE OF INCA TRAIL

*Reservations need to be done two months prior to arrive to Cusco.
Nevertheless take note there is a limit of visitors per day so I suggest you to book the trip as soon as possible to guarantee your spots.

*Remember to take your original passport and isic card on the inca trail because without them you are not going to be able to do the hiking and take only the necessary items for the trek,the rest of your luggages you can leave it at your hotel in Cusco (most of hotels and hostals has an storage where to keep until your return)

* Participants need to be in good physical health and condition to be able to enjoy the Inka Trail. The trekking will be difficult if you have not exercised regularly before your trip. To fully enjoy an Inka Trail adventure, we advise passengers to get into an exercise program for their own safety and enjoyment. If a passenger suffers from any medical condition, we advise him/her to consult a physician about joining an Inka Trail Expedition.

PARK REGULATIONS
The Inca Trail is part of the Machu Picchu Sanctuary, a protected area of
32,592 hectares, managed by the National Institute of Natural Resources, INRENA. Every visitor must obey park regulations prohibiting littering, cutting or damaging trees, removing or damaging stones of ruins and the Trail, removing plants, killing animals, lighting open fires or camping in the archeological sites (Only authorized campsites can be used).
