2 and lodging at Orquidea Real or similar tourist class accommodations (twin
beds or matrimonial king-size bed accommodation). |
This package includes a two days visit at Machupicchu
with an overnight in Aguas calientes, the Sacred Valley of the Incas tour, Cusco
city tour and also includes an unusual tour of the popular markets, the real
life of the Peruvian people outside of the standard tourist routes.
DAY
1 CUSCO
Reception at the Cusco airport and lodging
at Orquidea Real Hostel or similar tourist class accommodations (*NOTE:
First class or De luxe hotels available on request). In the afternoon: Cusco
City Tour from 2 pm to 6:30 pm. This tour includes the Qoricancha (Temple of the
Sun)
and the Cathedral. The tour drives along the Circunvalacion Road up to famous fortress of
Sacsahuaman, then to Q'enqo, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay. Includes Spanish and English
speaking guide. Includes Tourist ticket valid for the entrance to many museums and ruins as
well.
Lodging at Orquidea Real Hostal.
DAY 2 SACRED VALLEY TOUR (TUESDAY, THURSDAY AND SUNDAY)
At 8:45 a.m. we will depart for the Sacred Valley tour, that includes: Bus service to the market of
Pisaq, visits the ruins of Ollantaytambo, and the market at Chinchero. There is an English speaking guide, and lunch in a typical restaurant in Urubamba. Of course, throughout this trip you will have magnificent views of the high
Peruvian Andes. At 18:00 hrs you arrive back at the Orquidea Real Hostal. ( B,L )
DAY 3 MACHU PICCHU
At 5:45 a.m. you will be picked up from the hotel to the train station which
leaves at 06:00 a.m. Travel will be in a "Vistadome" Class (formerly
"Autowagon"), the best there is. At 09:40 a.m. you will arrive at the Aguas
Calientes Station, from where you will take a 25 minute bus ride to the ruins
of Machu Picchu. Once there, you will take a guided tour, with
an English speaking guide. Overnight at the Presidente Hostal or similar in Aguas Calientes (Machupicchu). (B, Box lunch)
*Optional: For lunch at Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge instead of box-lunch, add $35.00
to the tour price.
DAY 4 AGUAS CALIENTES - MACHU PICCHU
Morning at leisure in Aguas Calientes to continue visiting the
area by your own and optional visit to Machu Picchu (bus ticket
and entrance fees not included). In the afternoon at 3:05 pm we
will take the Vistadome train back to Cusco, arriving at 7:05
pm. We will stay overnight at Orquidea Real Hostal. (B)
DAY 5 POPULAR MARKETS
After breakfast you will start the tour at 9:00 a.m. visiting the following
places:
The main artisan market of the city “Centro Artesanal Cusco” where you will find
more than 300 small shops gathered in a large building, where you will
have a lot to see and also can get good deals in prices, or if you prefer
you can visit the market of Cusco where you will see how most of the
people in Peru do grossery shopping (different kinds of cooked foods, how
sellers offer their products, etc). Visiting then the artisan area of “San
Blas” as well as its surroundings areas; it is important to mention that
this neighborhood has become very important and impressive because of its
tradition in artesany and also in architecture, you will have the chance
of buying beautiful paintings of “cusqueño” style.
Please note that lunch is not included, moreover you will be visiting some
museums using your touristic ticket, walking trough some streets away
from some touristic routes which make this tour interesting, your guide
will be always with you and will be flexible depending of the time and
circumstances. Return at 1:00 pm. Lodging at Orquidea Hostal. (B)
DAY 6 TRANSFER OUT
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport and end of our services. (B)
